A Poem About Love

For my birthday Luke and I had a grand adventure, taking a tour of north shore Kauai. We walked through taro fields and across Ke'e beach and even went on a beautiful hike. We reached a stunning destination and listened to the waves while we meditated. We were able to reflect on our love and adventures together.

Luke also wrote a lovely poem for me for the holiday, and so I thought I’d return the favor and write a poem for him for Valentine’s Day:

“Two hearts collide

Coalescing in the stars,

It’s been a wild ride

Baby let’s go to Mars,

Our dreams are magical

Takes us to new heights,

Together let us freefall

Off the precipice, the lights

Of the city shall guide

Us to a new destination,

There’s no reason to hide

Don’t get lost in consternation,

There’s nothing to fear

I’m waiting for you

I’m by your side I’m here

With you I feel new,

Alive and ready for adventure

Out into the world,

Let’s go I like the weather

Perfect way to herald

A new day and life together.

As of May 12 we will have been married for 2 years and together for 3 ½ years and what a glorious and inspirational experience it has been. I have never been happier in my life.

How It All Began

We first met while in high school by speaking to each other telepathically, sharing our lives and experiences with each other through miraculous mental communication. I was a sophomore and he was a freshman.

At the time I was living in Anna’s Dorm at Hawaii Preparatory Academy, a boarding school located in Waimea (Kamuela) on the Big Island. I was very busy at the time taking dance classes, performing in plays, and sprinting in track. At night I studied vigorously, dedicating so much of my time toward my education. He helped me to get through those busy and often lonely days, knowing that in between the extracurriculars and my studies that I could be rewarded with his presence in my mind.

We both are artists, enjoy music, and dabble in the supernatural. He would sing and dance and I would share stories about ghost hunting. Both now and then I have always admired Luke for his artistic skills as well, like how he is an amazing artist and creates beautiful portraits with charcoal.

Reunited on Kauai

Seventeen years later our love was rekindled, transforming from a telepathetic relationship into one in our third dimension reality, on the beautiful island of Kauai. Before we met we first connected through my mother, he was working for her at the time, and she gave me Luke’s email. We communicated by email and read each other’s books, and so we were able to reunite (we discovered that we had known each other since our high school days). I was so excited to find another writer like myself and read Luke's book Ethereal Ascendant.

I delved into the pages of Ethereal Ascendant with a passion. The science fantasy elements of elves fighting with katanas and guns, characters driving fast cars and battling mythical monsters to frequenting futuristic movie theaters and fantastical places was all so exciting to me.

I remember our first date as we walked along a pathway that led to a pond in Princeville, in north shore Kauai. We shared a sandwich and watched ducks play in the water and chatted, enjoying the beauty around us. His energy was emanating from him so brightly he glowed while we spoke to each other. I knew I had found my twin flame.

The Legend of the Twin Flames

By definition “twin flames” is defined as an idea of a strong soul-based connection between two people, who are destined to be united in love, and grow together spiritually.

Together all the aspects of what it is like to be twin flames rang true for us.  An intense feeling of familiarity and recognition. Connection and belonging, sharing values, interests, and morality,  even with each other’s differences. A reopening of old wounds and revisiting avoided issues. Just to transform together as something even greater.

We had recognized each other as telepathic partners and lovers, and as we bridged the gap by meeting with each other in person amazing things happened. We felt at one with each other like we had always been together and that there never was distance between us. Luke and I were able to confide in each other which helped us to be stronger and overcome obstacles that we face within ourselves. Not to mention our common interests which makes us flourish.

The Love We Share Empowers Us

I truly believe that together nothing can stand in our way. We are a powerful team, and we enjoy bouncing ideas off of one another and writing side by side. From writing, editing each others’ works, to recording for audible, to marketing and more we do it all.

Stay tuned, dear readers, as our adventure continues to unfold and reach greater heights!
